The Technical Illustration Workflow
is divided into three distinct phases, with TI shown as the
hub of activity. TI, together with the component library approach
to illustration, leverages the ‘Create once, use many’
tenet of computer graphics. Once a component has been created
and stored as a symbol object, it can be used in multiple
layouts spanning many different publications that support
a product throughout its lifecycle.
